What are the best ways to utilize the 18650 batteries you have on hand?

You will find that most flashlights are actually used for decoration when you start playing with them. 18650 manufacture They didn't use much and still had a bunch of batteries that went to waste. When you don't use them for a long time, they will die. Do these batteries work? Yes, and today I want to tell you about a few cool gadgets that came out of 18650 batteries.

Firstly, a Bluetooth speaker

A while back, the market was flooded with Bluetooth speakers utilizing 18650 lithium batteries. However, they have become hard to come by nowadays. Nowadays, most of these speakers are equipped with built-in polymer batteries and typically come in gray. Eventually, these batteries will lose their charge and cannot be easily replaced by the average person. That's why I tend to lean towards products that offer replaceable batteries, as I am not concerned about accumulating a collection over time. This particular Bluetooth speaker boasts features such as a clock, alarm clock, thermometer, and TF card playback. When not in use, it can also serve as a pendulum.

A battery cover can be opened, the battery can be replaced at any time, using two 18650 lithium batteries in parallel. A large-capacity battery is recommended to extend the battery life as the primary battery has a low capacity. With the Micro-USB charging port, the speaker can be charged without removing the battery.

This Bluetooth speaker is relatively small, low power consumption, and sound quality is average. It has many functions and is not that expensive. Bluetooth speakers with removable 18650 batteries are hard to find nowadays. Here's what Sundwanlida looks like:

Hand warmers, two

The hand warmer comes from Gongtian, one of the few manufacturers still producing fans with removable batteries. This is a new product that came out during the previous working time, and I also bought myself a China to try it. Now it has been cooled down, which is just what we need. While there are a lot of different color messages to choose from, one look still seems a little strange:

People can also choose to remove the original lithium-ion battery and replace it with a high-capacity backup battery. This hand warmer also uses two detachable 18650 lithium-ion batteries.

It has two interfaces, one for charging and one for discharging, so it can serve as a charging treasure. Using it once when it was cold, the temperature rose rapidly, which was suitable for covering hands. The high temperature can reach 55 degrees, and the low temperature can reach 45 degrees. The battery temperature will exceed 30 degrees when the external temperature reaches 55 degrees:

There are three small fans

A small fan like this is also produced by Komoda, model GT532S. Komatsu's previous small fan was also purchased. It has rough workmanship, but it can be used, and this GT532S has much better workmanship than the previous model. There are four gears on the fan, the top of the wind is still relatively large, so you can wait in the car in the summer for a person.

GT532S Fan is powered by two 18650 batteries in parallel. The official flagship store does not have packaging without batteries, other stores can buy. If there is no battery, you can buy it for more than 40 yuan:

As compared to other students who hold small fans, the fan diameter is 14 cm, and the wind and wind speed are also much greater. I usually study in the car because it is relatively simple and practical, Yunnan weather conditions are all year round to use their own, wired charging is also very convenient, so I don't have to take a battery. It should come as no surprise that enterprises can also develop this fan system as a charging bank during an emergency:

A pair of camp lights, a pair of night lights

There used to be a lot of camping lights with 18650 batteries, but now they are usually built in batteries, which is very inconvenient. My friend introduced me to this little camping light while I was shopping for batteries. The lamp has a magnet and a hook. However, the magnetic field is not very attractive, so it can easily fall. Hooks work well:

You can see that the camping lamp uses an 18650 lithium battery when you unscrew the lid. This space has to be divided into two sections, and after one section, the battery life is limited. It has a USB-C charging port outside, which can be used to charge the battery directly, but not as a charging bank:

This lamp has a maximum brightness of 250 lumens. It's not enough to make a camping light. You'll have to buy some, but you can use it as a tent light and a night light.

Treasure five, charging

Many charging banks on the market utilize 18650 lithium batteries, but disassembling them is not an option. This leaves our extra 18650 batteries unused. However, we can easily purchase a power bank case and insert our 18650 batteries into it. In the past, only top brands offered such cases, like my QD188 model from Start-Point which holds eight 18650 batteries and has adjustable output voltage for laptop charging. At the time, TYPE-C fast charging was not available for laptops and there were very few options for charging banks capable of powering a laptop.

Now the quality level of the battery box is uneven, cheap workmanship materials are poor, a better one with fast charging is more expensive than the finished charging treasure, hand work does not have its own charging treasure, and idle batteries are developing, so we can pick one to try:

There are four charging cables on the back of my treasure box that can be charged with a 418650 battery, and the car can sometimes be used in an emergency:

The sixth is a DIY power supply for other equipment

Apart from its use in various gadgets, the 18650 battery can also be utilized by individuals with knowledge of battery circuitry and practical skills for other purposes. These may include creating DIY electric bicycle batteries (as long as they have the same capacity and internal resistance), refrigerator batteries, outdoor power supplies, and even car refrigerator batteries that can provide 6 hours of continuous power while parked. I recently completed a set of these batteries and am willing to share my process for free for a limited time. While these may seem like major projects, it is also simple to create smaller items. For instance, one can easily purchase an 18650 battery box or connect multiple batteries in parallel or series to produce higher voltages. For example, I connected four 18650 batteries in series, resulting in about 16 volts which is equivalent to the Yamaha keyboard's voltage. By using a basic battery case and connecting it to the keyboard, I was able to create an outdoor power supply without much effort.

As an example, if the synthesizer uses 12V power supply, three 18650 units can be connected in series, and if one unit is not enough, one unit can be connected in parallel.
